Clearing clipboard on iOS 9.3.5
My wife discovered 1Password on iOS 9.3.5 isn't clearing her clipboard after the 45-second timeout. She's seeing this on both her iPhone and iPad. I checked her settings, under Security on both devices she has "Clear Clipboard" enabled and I've tried toggling it off and on again. She copies a password, goes to another app, waits a few minutes, and she can still paste her password. Is there anything else I should try, any other settings or OS settings that might be interfering, before I generate a diagnostic report? And what logs should I enable for the diagnostic report?
Best part of all this, it's working as expected for me on the latest iOS 10 beta (beta 6 or 7 now).

Hi @jgoguen,
I'm so very sorry it took us so long to reply to your post here! That doesn't usually happen and I apologize for the inconvenience. I hope you'll forgive us!
Is your wife still having this problem on her iPhone and iPad? I just tried copying a password from 1Password on my own iPhone with iOS 9.3.5, and it was correctly cleared from the clipboard after 45 seconds. So I'm not sure why that wouldn't be working as expected on your wife's devices, but I'm sure we can figure it out one way or another.
First, can you please try restarting her iPhone/iPad (hold down the power button for a few seconds and "slide to power off", then turn it back on again). After it restarts, try again to see if the same problem happens.
If the clipboard still isn't cleared after 45 seconds, I think we'll need to have you/her send us a diagnostics report from each of her iOS devices:
Sending Diagnostics Reports (iOS)
Attach the Diagnostics Reports to an email message addressed to: support+forum@agilebits.com
Please do not post the Diagnostics Reports in the forums, but please do include a link to this thread in your emails, along with your forum handle so that we can "connect the dots" when we see the reports in our inbox.
You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here so we can track down the reports and ensure that this issue is dealt with quickly. Once we see the reports, we should be able to better assist you. Thanks very much! :)

I'll grab her devices later tonight once I'm home and check.

OK, I'm not going to pretend to understand what happened, but it seems to be working properly now. I didn't even have to restart anything… :/

@jgoguen: Thanks for following up! Before getting to the end of the discussion here, I immediately wondered if it's related to some settings changes we made recently. There used to be longer timeouts that were frankly unreliable, so we removed them. Now there is only a single "clear clipboard" toggle — it's either on or off. So it may be that 1Password was having difficulty migrating the setting from whatever option had been suggested previously. I'd say toggle it off and then back on just to make sure it's saved properly, and then I suspect you won't have any further issues. But we're here if you need us. :)

Sorry for the delay, I missed this entirely! She did toggle it off and back on at first, and even tried force-closing and restarting and it still happened for her. I don't think she got an app update in between. Either way it's working now, if anything comes up I'll definitely be back here :)

Thank for confirming that! I'm glad to hear it's working now, but if you encounter any further issues, be sure to send diagnostic information right away as Drew suggested so we can investigate. Cheers! :)
