Library website no longer working
Something has changed such that I cannot log into a library website using 1Password. I'm not sure what changed or where, so any help in troubleshooting the problem would be appreciated.
My institution's library (http://library.dts.edu) is the gateway for me to access research databases behind a pay wall. For example, to access ATLA, I first go to our library's home page and click the ATLA link. This takes me to this authorization page:
At that point, I choose the option to log in with my library credentials, which takes me to this page:
It's at this point that using Cmd + \ to invoke 1Password no longer works. I have set http://dts.authn.worldcat.org as a website for my library credentials, which worked previously but not now. And to be clear, I can manually type in my credentials at this point and access the research databases. I just can't use 1Password to do it for me.

Hi @MBurer,
Sorry to hear your Login item for that site is no longer working correctly! I hope you don't mind, but I've moved your message to our "Saving and Filling in Browsers" forum.
Thank you for the detailed steps, that makes it much easier for us! :) I saved a Login item for that sign-in page (using some random text since I don't have an account there) and 1Password was able to fill both fields as expected. So, something may have changed on that site which causes it to no longer work correctly with your existing Login item. If it still works when you manually type your login credentials, but not when you have the extension fill them for you, please follow these steps to save a new Login item for that site. Does the new Login item work correctly?
Please let us know how it goes, and if it's still a problem, we'll continue from there. Thanks! :)

Thanks for the response. I followed the steps to save a new Login item for the page. I gave it a new name to distinguish it from the old login. Even so, I could not use 1Password to fill in the credentials.

Hi @MBurer,
Would I be correct in believing you're a Safari user? There was a bug in version 4.5.8 of our 1Password Browser Extension that crept in while trying to centralise some of the checks we made. It turns out there is a certain browser behaviour that we hadn't anticipated. Version 4.5.9 corrects this which we released about a month ago now. Unfortunately we're still waiting for approval from Apple before the version in their Safari Extension Gallery gets updated. Here is what I would recommend.
- Launch Safari.
- Uninstall the 1Password Safari Extension.
- Restart Safari. This really is important due to caching etc.
- Visit our 1Password Browser Extensions and download the extension from there. You will be asked to trust the extension as it hasn't come from Apple's Safari Extension Gallery.
I believe you will find 1Password once again fills with this website, please do let us know if this isn't the case.
