Backups from iOS

I've read your article about creating backups on iOS...basically clicking Create Backup in the iOS app, and then transferring it to a Mac via iTunes. Is there a way to save this backup somewhere without having to connect to a Mac with iTunes?

If not, I'd like to suggest perhaps you consider it...I can imagine using something like the "Save to Dropbox" or "Save to iCloud" extensions, which would let me save a backup file to any app that supports the document provider extensions. I can imagine there are probably more and more people who are iOS only, and this would at least give them a way to create and save backups...

  • Hi @gregr,

Thanks for taking the time to write in.

For 1Password.com accounts all data is automatically backed up by AgileBits. For standalone vaults, at the moment, backups can only be made using iTunes.

    Thanks for the suggestion!
