Is there a way to export data to 1pif format from iPhone so that I can import it into my Mac

Hi, I set up a 1password account on my iPhone 5S but I never got an Account Key. I then unfortunately set up another account on my Mac because I got a 6-month free trial offer but used a different Master Password. I would like a way to import the data that I have already entered on my iPhone into my new account (e.g. by somehow synchronizing the 2 accounts).

What is the easiest way to accomplish this? I thought that I could export data from my iPhone in 1Pif format then import same into the account on the Mac, however I cannot seem to find an export option to do so on the iPhone.

Any tips/advice greatly appreciated.

  • Hi @simonpaul,

Thanks for taking the time to write in.

The easiest way to do this would likely be to make sure 1Password > Preferences > Advanced > Allow creation of vaults outside of 1Password accounts (on Mac) is enabled, and then use the WLAN server to sync your data from the iOS device to the Mac:

How to use the WLAN server

Then you can migrate the data from the standalone vaults it'll be in to your 1Password.com account vaults using these instructions:

Move your existing 1Password data to a 1Password account

I hope that helps. Should you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to ask.

    Ben
