mac icloud sync hangs
trying to get icloud sync on agilebits store version 6.3.3 on imac with sierra os. it links to apple ID page and completes then says it is "loading icloud information" and I get the spinning wheel forever. I tried following instructions to create a new vault, but it does not let me set icloud for that vault, even when i deselect it on my primary vault. Please advise. iphone is 5s with ios 10, so once it works on my mac it should work on my phone afaik.
1Password Version: 6.3.3
Extension Version: Not Provided
OS Version: mac os sierra
Sync Type: icloud

Hi @1pfourlofin
I'm sorry to hear that you're having some trouble setting up iCloud sync on your devices. You can only sync your Primary vault via iCloud, that's what the other vault is not showing the option. Could you please try restarting your computer and then trying again to see if it helps?
Please let us know how this goes so we can get to the bottom of this and get you all set up soon :chuffed:

I restarted and reset to my Primary vault. It just spins on loading iCloud information. I read somewhere about creating a new vault if the version was an agile bits store version, so that's what I was trying to do, but then I can't choose iCloud. Maybe that is not necessary any more? Anyhow, iCloud drive is enabled, but 1password does not show up in the list under options; not sure if it should. What's next?

Also the apple ID page launches, but is white except of a black apple on the left upper side, and the circle spinning in the center. It never actually completes. Yet I can go to iCloud in a separate tab and log in fine with the same password.

Hi @1pfourlofin,
Are you seeing the spinning wheel on the website that asks for your Apple ID username & password? Or is it something you see in the 1Password app? If it's on the website, that happens sometimes even though it worked correctly. In that case, please check the sync preferences in 1Password to see if you can complete the setup or if iCloud seems to be enabled and working - if so, you should be able to close out of that window in your browser.
On the other hand, if you sign into your Apple ID and that works correctly, but then you aren't able to complete the sync setup in 1Password because of a spinning wheel, something is definitely not working properly. Please let us know, thanks! :)

As I said, iCloud is enabled as is iCLoud drive. The BROWSER window for Apple ID remains as stated above - white with spinning circle. I have no idea of whether it completes or not but since I checked that the password works fine on a direct log in, I can only assume it is not an issue with logging in to my Apple ID. It makes no difference whether I close that browser tab or not. And when I try to sync, it continues to state "uploading icloud information" indefinitely in 1P.

So I refreshed the url above, and got an authentication error page. This action could not be completed. Close the window and try again.
Which I have done numerous times. So something is wrong with the call for authentication... I reset my password just to make sure everything is the same. It is. The browser briefly says something about "cloudkit" before I get the spinning black wheel.0 -
Okay....well, nevermind and thanks anyway. It does not play well with Firefox but I tried using Safari and it worked fine.

I'm glad to hear you got it working. You should be able to switch back to using Firefox now that it's been authenticated.
