Have MacBook Air (OS X 10.11.6) running 1Password v.6.3.3 - I've set up family account - do not see any way to add documents (e.g. Wills, Power of attorney, etc.).- Thanks

  • Hi @rjfecher! Thanks for creating a family account. :) You can add Document items in the account by clicking the + button in 1Password for Mac and choosing Document:

Then drag the file into the editing pane. You can also drag a file into the item info pane on another item to add a linked Document to that item. Let us know how it goes!

Thanks for the quick response - just got back to it today

    1. Able to move Excel doc to Family vault
    2. Then down loaded doc from family vault to computer
    3. Ended up in "text edit" program,
    4. Than using ****rename**** in" text edit" - able to change file name, as suggested by 1Passport,
    5. However it was still locked and would not open in Excel.
    6. After manually unlocking, was able to load document in Excel!

A little cumbersome but worked!!! :)

  • Glad to hear you got it working! :) You can open that document with Excel by clicking the down arrow in its details and choosing Open With.

That should make things a bit simpler in the future. Hope that helps!
