plugin icon gone on firefox for mac

Have read and tried all the previous suggestions. Here's what I know:
Icon was there a day or two ago.
Firefox Version 49.0.1
1Password Version 5.3
Uninstalled and reinstalled plugin 4.6.1, updated October 4, 2016.
Firefox add on screen says it's there... but it's not.
Help!

1Password Version: 5.3
Extension Version: 4.6.1
OS Version: OS X Yosemitie 10.10.5
Sync Type: Not Provided

    Thanks for reaching out to us for help with this! Sorry to hear you're having trouble getting the 1Password extension icon to appear in Firefox's toolbar.

    If the 1Password extension is listed in Firefox > Tools > Add-ons, make sure it's enabled there. If it still doesn't appear in the Firefox toolbar, try these steps:

    • Go to View > Toolbars > Customize.
    • Look for 1Password in the list of Additional Tools and Features.
    • If you find it, drag the 1Password icon to Firefox’s toolbar.
    • Click Exit Customize to finish.
