Open and fill no longer working
I am running 1Password on my Mac. Until recently the Open and Fill functionality worked as expected. Now, links to websites activate but the usernames and passwords are now being filled and submitted. This functionality on my iOS devices works fine. I am on version1Password 6
Version 6.5.BETA-22 (650022)
AgileBits Beta
I have checked the config under browser extensions and general - keep 1Password mini running.
I have booted my machine and restarted 1Password and Safari.
Any thoughts most welcome.
1Password Version: 6.5
Extension Version: 4.6.0b4
OS Version: 10.11.6

Hi @Heffor1,
I'm sorry Open and Fill isn't working correctly for you! I hope you don't mind, but I've moved your message to our "Saving and Filling in Browsers" forum.
I see that you're using the latest beta version of the main 1Password app, but an older beta version of the browser extension (the latest beta extension is currently 4.6.2.BETA-1). Safari extensions that aren't installed from the Safari Extension Gallery must be updated manually, so I'm guessing that's why you have an older version of the extension. You can follow these steps to install the update:
- Open Safari, go to Safari > Preferences, and click the Extensions tab.
- If an update for the 1Password extension is available, click Updates near the lower left corner of that window.
- Click the Update button for the 1Password extension.
After the latest beta version is installed, make sure you restart Safari. Does Open and Fill work now? Please let us know how it goes, and if it's still a problem, we'll continue from there. Thanks!

I'm having the same problem - my 1Password worked great from Safari until the other day. (I always take advantage and upload software updates.) When in Safari now - nada. My current version is 6.3.3. I uninstalled the 1Password browser extension, logged out of Safari, logged back in, uploaded the browser extension from 1Password, reinstalled it - and it still doesn't open. I have access to the 1Password app so I can copy/paste - but that browser extension is so very useful!

@santclan Could you let us know a little more about the problem you're having?
- When you open Safari, do you see the 1Password button in the toolbar?
- What happens if you click the toolbar button?
- If you visit the sign in page on a site for which you have a Login saved and click the button, does that Login show in the list that pops up?
- If you see the Login, what happens if you select it?
It would also be useful to know the version of the 1Password extension from Safari > Preferences > Extensions.
Thanks!

Thank you so much for replying! I was at my wits end! Yes - the 1Password button was next to the toolbar button. When I tried to click it - the icon would change color, but no "1Password" dialog appeared - so I couldn't proceed - no list appeared - and no login appeared. The version that appeared when I followed your path is 4.6.1.
Now - all that said - and I REALLY appreciate you! - is I found I could not take screenshots - so in my total frustration, I didn't only "re-start" my MacBook - but I turned it off, vacuumed the house, and turned it back on - and I can now take screenshots - AND MY 1PASSWORD IS WORKING AGAIN! Computer Gremlins! Thanks so much, Jamie, for asking as I thought maybe the latest update was buggy - and I SO LOVE 1Password!

Hello @santclan,
It sounds like either 1Password mini wasn't running or something might have caused it to be unable to temporarily open a port. That's just a guess though going on the old "turn it off and on again" trick working. Computers eh?
If the issue returns or if you have anything else you'd like help tackling please let us know
