Show intercepted data on autosave

1Password does a great job of catching the correct data to save from a webpage, but it isn't 100% accurate. As it stands now, when it autosaves I have to go to 1Password and do a search for the data is just saved too verify that what it got was complete and correct. This is unnecessarily complicated. I support a lot of clients with 1Password, and if they don't take the step of verifying the data they often end up with partial or incorrect entries.

It would be incredibly helpful if 1Password showed the data it was saving (username and password) when it Autosaves so the user can confirm it is correct.

Thanks for the suggestion, @PEBMAC. Could you let us know where you've seen 1Password save incorrectly? We'd love to look into those situations. As for showing the details during autosave, this is something we could consider, but given how much information 1Password will save about a page, it could be overwhelming trying to show the full detail in such a tiny space. And if 1Password misidentifies a username or password field (1Password has gotten much better at this but it's not perfect yet…), the user might think they just need to keep saving over and over or something, so we would need to make sure the user is able to fully understand what information they're seeing and how to nudge 1Password in the right direction if it gets it wrong but also without being needlessly complex with a bunch of… stuff.

So, all that is to say that I think we can definitely do more to help the user with saving new Logins, but it will require much careful consideration in order for us to make sure we get it right, and I can't offer any timeframe for when we might be able to look into this.

As ever, if you have any other thoughts, ideas, or suggestions, please don't hesitate to let us know. It's passionate users like you that help us make 1Password better every day.
