updating password in vault

I am trying out 1Password for Teams and am still trying to understand all the features.
One thing I am seeing is that if I change a password for a website, 1password creates a second entry in the vault rather than asking me if I want to update the vault entry.
How is this supposed to work?

Hi @lisaperlie! Good question. 1Password is supposed to ask you to update the existing password with the new one. I see you're using 1Password 6 for Windows, and right now it doesn't support updating existing passwords. To save a password there, I'd recommend:
- Open the website and navigate to the change password page.
- Enter your current password.
- Open 1Password 6 for Windows and unlock it.
- Select the password you'd like to change, and click Edit.
- Click the password generator icon beside the •••• in the password field. It's three lines of sliders.
- Generate a password you like, then click Save.
- Click Copy beside the password, then paste it into the new password fields in your browser and change the password.
We're hoping to have a streamlined process for this soon. I hope this helps in the meantime! :)
