Master Password not syncing on one device
Months ago I changed my master password from my laptop. When I synced and updated my phone, all went well, and the new master password worked. My iPad, however, was a different story. I tried a number of times, deleting the app, downloading again, etc., but it would only recognize the old master password.
I have lived with my devices having different master passwords since then. I just bought a new iPad, and, thinking this would solve my problem, I removed the 1Password app from the old iPad, backed up that iPad to the cloud and then loaded everything (except 1Password) to the new device. On the new iPad I then went to the App Store and downloaded the 1Password app. Unfortunately it didn't work, and 1Password on my new iPad only recognizes the old master password.
Any suggestions?

Hi @Ellkay!
Thank you for getting in touch! Master password changes do not automatically sync between your devices, and this comes down to the fact that we don't store your master password anywhere. Therefore, if you want to use the same master password on all of your devices, you need to update it manually on each of them.
If you want to find out something more about why this works like this, please look at this (technical) article:

As to how to update the master password on your devices, we have a nice guide on how to do that too :) You can find it here:

Should you have any other questions about this just let me know!
Take care,
