1P opens Amazon from iMac but not from iPhone

Hi!

I have two related problems relating to Amazon.

I have Amazon accounts for UK, France, Spain and Netherlands.
I can open them from my iMac.
But when I try to do it from my iPhone 7, Amazon replies that my password is not correct.

Secondly: I can enter an Amazon site on my iMac. But if I have to fill in my password inside the site, Amazon replies that my password in invalid, even though I am copying and pasting the password which enabled me to enter the site in the first place.

Any suggestions?

  • Hi @AnCatMara,

Thanks for taking the time to write in!

You mentioned in your post that you are syncing the iMac and the iPhone 7 using iCloud. Have you tested to verify this sync is working (so that the correct password(s) for Amazon actually exist on the iPhone)? I'd recommend:

    1) Open your Amazon accounts on both the iMac and the iPhone, one at a time.
    2) Use the Reveal option to reveal the password on both devices
    3) Compare the passwords to make sure they match

As an additional level of verification I'd like for you to create a Secure Note on your iMac titled iMac Test for Ben and one on your iPhone titled iPhone Test for Ben. Then make sure the iMac note appears on the iPhone and vice versa. If they do sync over you can delete them. :)

As for your second issue, I'm having a hard time seeing how that could be caused by an issue with 1Password. If the same password is being entered in both spots and the website is accepting it in one but rejecting it in another that would seem to be an issue with the website...
Have you tried typing your password (using 1Password as a reference) into these fields to see if the same result persists?

Please let us know how it turns out.

    Ben
