Feature Request: Make Vault saving more obvious/confirmation on shared vaults

We have 1Password Teams but employees are having a hard time noticing which Vault they are saving too and people are saving sensative personal passwords to shared vaults by mistake. This turns a security feature into a risk for our employees.

Please make it more obvious what Vault it is going to. Ideas on how to help this:

  • Vault name in giant bold letters
  • Always default to primary if available, or personal, no matter what vault is selected in 1password menu
  • If saving to a shared vault, throw a confirmation box warning that other people will have access to this password.

    Hi @yippy3000

Thank you very much for getting in touch with us about this, we appreciate your input! There is already a way to make sure the second point you mention holds. If you go to Preferences in 1Password and then to "All vaults" you'll see at the bottom "Vault for saving". You can encourage everyone to make sure that's set to "Personal" to make it the default vault to save new items. This way it would be way less likely to save something publicly by mistake.

I like your last idea, maybe with a "Don't show this again" option so it doesn't become too intrusive :chuffed: Maybe we'll be able to see this some day in 1Password!

Please let us know what you think about the current option, as well as any other ideas that you have that would improve 1Password!
