Saving photo as attachment in IOS app

Hi,
I'd like to ask for a feature that can save photo as attachment in an item. This is super useful feature and currently I have to..
1) Take photo from mobile phone.
2) upload to dropbox
3) Use my computer to save the photo as attachment in 1password Mac

It'll be great if I can save directly from my phone.

    Hi @weichengp,

    Thanks for the request. We'd love to make it so attachments can be added directly to standalone vaults from iOS, but unfortunately it has proven to be a more difficult problem than anticipated. Hopefully it is still something we can do in the future, but it isn't on the roadmap right now.

    In the mean time 1Password.com accounts have a feature called Documents, which works similarly to attachments, and photos can be added as Documents from 1Password for iOS.

    Hi @Ben,

    Thanks for promptly reply. Understood there is technical difficulty. By using 1password.com account is more like a workaround. The reason why I like the attachment is that I can directly attach to an existing item, e.g. my passport. Guessing "Documents" will be a separate entry.

    That is true. While documents and attachments have similar functions under the hood they are entirely different, and as you say even on the surface they are different in that documents live independently of other items whereas attachments do not.
