It would be nice if I could use 1Password to store the login for my computer.

I can't really see how it would work, but it would be nice to store the username and password for my computer's local account in a password manager and access it somehow from the login window. I don't imagine that's possible, but maybe you know different.

    Thank you for reaching out to ask us about that! I can definitely see how that would be handy. However, as you suspected, it isn't possible to access 1Password on your Mac while that Mac is locked and asking for your password. You'll need to unlock your Mac before you can open & unlock 1Password (or other apps, for that matter). It's a lot like having a safe in your house - when you come home, you'll need to have a key to unlock the door to your house before you can unlock the safe.

    It's an interesting idea though, and if something like that is possible in the future, I'm sure our developers will look into it. Thanks again, and if you need anything else, don't hesitate to let us know. We're here for you! :)
