I've been locked out!

I haven't changed my password for my vault and yet today it won't let me in! Even provides me the password hint which is correct ... and so is the password I'm using to unlock it!! HELP!

    OK, fixed it by doing a restore from backup of a few days ago ... phew!

    Why would it lock me out though!?

    Thanks for the update! I'm glad you were able to restore from a backup! Unfortunately data, the filesystems it lives in, and the devices we use are very fragile, so if it becomes damaged it will not decrypt properly — sort of like when you've got a bad phone or TV signal. SO while I'm glad you had backups on your computer itself, be sure to backup offsite as well. When — not if — the hardware fails, you'll be glad to have a copy elsewhere. Cheers! :)
