Which specifications are needed for Fingerprint Unlock

Hello,
I like to buy a new smartphone for a friend for christmas. This one should work with 1Password together with the fingerprint unlock feature. I sometimes read that some users have problems with that. So I like to ask you which technical specifications are needed for this feature? Will fingerprint unlock works with Mi, BQ or other less known smartphone producer products also?

    Hey @Philipp. Unfortunately I can't guarantee Fingerprint Unlock will work on an Mi or BQ device. We know that it works on Google's Nexus and Pixel devices, and while we've had positive reports of it working with other devices, such as OnePlus and Samsung devices, we have also seen issues with Fingerprint Unlock on those devices.

    I'm not sure if Mi or BQ are supporting the fingerprint framework in Android Marshmallow, but I have seen reports from customers having trouble enabling Fingerprint Unlock on Mi devices. So unfortunately I can't say. Let me know if you find anything out there!
