Menu bar remember selected item

I often use the menu bar 1Password icon to access credit card details or a password that can't be entered into the browser automatically. The annoying thing is, i'll copy the CC number, paste it in, come back and have to research for the CC two or more times more to copy the date and CVV number.

It would be really helpful if the selected CC or login wasn't cleared every time the window losses focus. Sure, it should probably be cleared after 5mins or so, but not straight away.

  • Hi @nzjoel,

Thanks for taking the time to write in with this feedback. I've run into what you're describing here as well. Perhaps we can have the extension look at the URL you're currently on, and if the URL hasn't changed leave the last viewed item up. I'm not sure how technically feasible that is but I'd be happy to pass the suggestion along to our development team for them to look into.

    Thanks! :)

    Hi @Ben,
Im not sure this would fully resolve my issue. Often I use the menubar extension to view CC details or a login that i'm logging in with on my phone, another computer or giving to someone over messenger or something like that. So I wouldn't always have a website related to the login open, and similarly a CC doesn't relate to a specific website so that wouldn't work in that instance.
    Cheers

  • Joel,

The extension cannot be opened on iOS if you aren't viewing a webpage. It sounds like perhaps you are referring to 1Password for Mac ("menubar")?

Sorry for any confusion on my part if that is the case -- you posted this in the iOS forum. :) I'd be happy to pass the feedback along to our Mac developers if this is primarily a Mac concern.

    Ben
