1Password on IOS not synching correctly to Dropbox

The problem is back. A password change on the iMac this morning didn't update Dropbox, or either of the iOS devices. (Regarding Brenty's earlier comment, the devices were not synching to different vaults, as I only have one vault.)

Some messages from the error log are shown below:
AM garçon: Failed to connect (view) outlet from (NSApplication) to (NSColorPickerGridView): missing letter or instance variable
AM garçon: Could not connect to Dropbox on port com.getdropbox.dropbox.garcon.cafe_501. Trying again later
AM garçon: Garcon is ready (1 alive)
AM com.apple.xpc.launchd: (com.apple.quicklook[778]) Endpoint has been activated through Legacy launch 3 APIs.Please switch to XPC...
AM quicklookd: Error returned from iconservicesagent: (null)

Please let me know how to fix this. Thanks for your help.

Aha! It sounds like you had all of your devices syncing with Dropbox...but some to different vaults. I'm glad to hear that you got it sorted out, but we're here if you run into any other issues. Cheers!

Finally figured it out. I have an old iPad also that I don't use very often, but I turned it on to see how many items were displayed in 1Password. There were 116. I deleted Dropbox and 1Password on the iPad, and then reinstalled. When I logged into 1Password on the iPad, the synchronization added the newer items; the item count is now 136 on all three devices (Mac, iPhone, iPad).

1Password on my Mac has a total of 136 items, including 103 logins, 4 secure notes and 13 credit cards. 1Password on iOS has 116 items, 87 logins and 12 credit cards. I only use one vault, "Primary." The problem has existed for several months. I've tried removing Dropbox on the Mac and iPhone, and then reinstalling. Also, I've removed 1Password on the Mac and iPhone, and then reinstalled. I've paused and then restarted the synch on iPhone. Regardless of what I do, the iPhone only displays 87 of 103 logins, and it's always the same ones that are omitted. I'm unable to view the 1Password.agilekeychain file in Dropbox. When I click on it, I'm able to download, but when I try to view it, I receive a message that says I'm missing a file. Also, the folder in Dropbox now has two additional files, "a" and "data." The "a" file was recently added, since the most recent reinstall of 1Password.
Please let me know what I need to do to synch my iPhone 5se.
Thanks

This might be OK. I forgot that my iMac doesn't automatically open Dropbox at startup. But when I manually opened it just now, the 1Password update synched to my iPhone. I don't want Dropbox to stay open, but I'll add it to the Dock as a reminder to manually open it whenever I make updates to 1Password.

    Thanks for your help.

  • Thanks for the update @dmeusa. Yes, the Dropbox service must be running in order to sync updates. Please let us know if you experience further difficulties while it is running.
