need a standalone app to store passwords. Is this the right app?
Okay, this all seems more complicated than I need. I just want a fail safe way to keep passwords on a 6s. I don't want to sync across other platforms or devices. I want to securely store some banking sites. Something simple, something easy is what I want. Am I in the wrong place then? I don't want these passwords up in iCloud.

Thanks for taking the time to write in. We can definitely help with that. Before we get too much further though... If you only plan on having your data on one device what are you going to do if that device is lost/stolen/broken?

It is certainly possible, though not recommended, to use 1Password as you've described. We would certainly recommend having copies of your data in multiple spots though so that the loss of a single device doesn't leave you without your information. All of your data is encrypted by 1Password using your Master Password, so even if someone were to get into your iCloud account for example they would still need your Master Password in order to decrypt the data.
