synching problem
I have 1pass6 installed on 2macs and iphone. Same info on preference pages but imac not synching. All say synch with primary, dropbox and WLAN but only the macbook and phone synch. Is there a manual synch button. I press the synch on preference page on imac but it still says last synch was awhile ago.
1Password Version: 6.5.2
Extension Version: 4.6.2.90
OS Version: OS 10.12.1
Sync Type: primary and dropbox

I purchased a license for 1pass on Dec. 8, 2014. Today I realized that I needed to update to 1pass6. I was sent a license # to do that in an email. Clicked on the link and it says that I have the license and it seems all 3 of my I devices are updated. But only 2 will synch. I try to set up an account on the site using the key for 1pass3 I was sent in the email with the license info. I am told the key is invalid. Is an account only available to those with subscriptions and not licenses. Why not say that if so. I read in the ?'s about vaults and it seems that my synch problem may have to do with primary/personal thing and what is it with the vaults. I can't find this vault switcher button. Go to the top left? Nothing about vaults there. I am no techie and I liked the simplicity of 1pass, but I am getting disenchanted trying to solve the problem. PLEASE use dumbed down techie talk in your answer. Thanks

@davegeist: As you can imagine, we don't want to talk to you or anyone else like they are dumb, but one way or another I'm sure we can get this sorted out for you.
A 1Password 3 license key will not work for 1Password 6, as it uses a license file instead. I've resent your license information via email, so just follow the instructions there to register the app.
A 1Password.com subscription is separate from a license for the standalone 1Password app though. If you already have the licenses you need and don't want the additional benefits of a 1Password.com Account, it isn't necessary to pay anything more. However, you may want to consider a 1Password subscription, since it will give you access to all of the apps, the web interface, and does away with license management and sync configuration altogether — you simply login to your account to authorize a device and access your data:
1Password.com
Using the standalone 1Password license though, you can sync your data using iCloud, Dropbox, or WLAN Server, but it's usually best to use only one of these since otherwise it can become a bit confusing.
iCloud can only sync the Primary local vault. WLAN Server can sync the Primary (required) and secondary vaults (optional). Dropbox can sync any of your local vaults. None of these can sync data which belongs to a 1Password.com Account, and vice versa, which a Personal vault is part of.
Hopefully that helps clear things up a bit, but be sure to let me know if you have any other questions, and let me know the OS, 1Password, and device versions you're trying to sync if you need help setting it up. :)
