suddenly 1p will not open on iPad, older version of app, won't load only wallpaper seen
my 1pass will not open on my iPad. Its older version not upgraded. says "loading" immediately switches to gray with black dots wall paper. First time this has happened. Will not allow me to bring up the keyboard on screen to type in access code. no idea what version but icon has the picture of a key on it.

@lstilley: That sounds like a very old version indeed. If you're trying to use a 1Password app from nearly a decade ago on a recent version of iOS, it isn't surprising that you'd run into some odd behaviour. Please follow the steps in this guide to migrate your data to the current version:
