First Time User of 1Password Family License

My father purchased a 1Password Family license in 2013. I just got a new Mac and am going to use one of the licensees. I only have a License Key. How do I download and apply the license? I tried but when I download 1Password 6 it asks me to purchase a license...please help.

    Hi @rachaelroo,

    Thanks for writing in with your question. The purchase timeframe and mention of a License Key tells me that you've most likely got a Family License for 1Password 3 and not 1Password 6. I tried looking up the email address you have attached to your forum account but it didn't find anything listed for that. 1Password 6 isn't a free update from 1Password 3, which is why it talks about purchasing a upgraded license.
