Is there a way to have a second vault so my wife could access it for her passwords?

We currently have one standalone licensed 1Password Pro 6 for Android and 1Password Pro 4 Win10 4.6.1.617. We both have Galaxy S7 phones with Android version 6.0.1 updated on 23 Dec 2016. Is there some way to add her as a second account with her own vault and password?

1Password Version: 6.0.1
Extension Version: 4.6.2
OS Version: Android 6.0.1

Hi @Bob_James! Thanks for getting in touch! Standalone installations don't offer any account functionality, they're local installations that can but don't have to sync your data with other devices. Your wife could of course start using 1Password with her own vault, but she'd need her own license to do so.

There is, however, another possibility: a Family subscription plan on 1Password.com would be perfect in your scenario. You could set up a Family account and invite your wife. You could then each have your own personal vault and could also share password items that you both need access to through the shared vault that comes with the account. Another upside of using a subscription account is that all apps are included, so you can use 1Password on all the devices you own and never worry about licenses and upgrade pricing again. :)

I hope this information helps. Please let me know if you need anything else. I’ll be happy to help!

Thank you, Roman. I've enjoyed using 1Password for several years and am very happy with it, but I don't buy subscription software so that takes the Family plan out of the picture. Too bad.
I'll just download LastPass since it's free and she doesn't need multi-device synchronization.

I note that 1Password is not listed in PC Magazine's "The Best Password Managers of 2017". Why?

Hi @Bob_James - On behalf of @Roman you're very welcome. As Roman stated previously, you could purchase an additional license for your wife then set up a Shared vault using Dropbox, if you don't want to give 1Password Families a try. Our iOS apps are free at the moment so that might be an option for you. Sorry, not too sure about the article that you referred to. Keep us posted if you have any additional questions. We're always happy to help. Have a fantastic day! :-)
