what are iterations , is that like rounds ?
100,000 would mean it's been scrambled with different hashes all those times ?i find crypto pretty fascinating to be honest .

@darmok: There's a lot of math involved, but yeah that's pretty much it. Think of it as a way of performing a lot of difficult calculations which have no shortcuts, so they must be performed again in reverse to get the original data. This makes more work for someone trying to break into your data, which makes it infeasible on a human timescale. I'm just glad that 1Password does the math for me, otherwise it would take me just as long to access my data, even though I know the Master Password. :lol:
