1Password mini is not starting unless I start the main app and then it pops up on the menu bar -

I am running 6.5.3 on a MBP. with El Capitan. Recently the mini icon has failed to start unless I start the main app, then it appears. the "always start mini" box is enabled in preferences. I have tried unchecking it, doing the "do not enable" restarting and then re-enabling it process, but that hasn't worked. Any suggestions? This is not a killer, but it is mildly annoying. Thanks

Just ran Onyx and repaired the permissions - and voila!, 1Password mini began starting again...
