Autosave problem on digid.nl [1Password does not prompt to save duplicate passwords]
I go to www.digid.nl and tick the "Inloggen Mijn Digid" and for the first time login with my username and password. 1Password asks me to save the login, which I confirm and after logout I can login by using the knob in Safari, so far so good.
My problem is that after repeating the same procedure with the username of my wife and the corresponding password 1Password does not come up with the screen shown in the case of brookealexander in May 2016. I also tried to make an alternative login manually but without success.
How to solve this?
1Password Version: 6.5.3
Extension Version: 4.6.2
OS Version: 10.12.2
Sync Type: iCloud

Hey @ajwoestenenk ,
Thanks for writing in, I have tried this website where I entered a fake username and password and hit Enter. Then I was prompted to save. I tried a second time with a different username and a different password and hit Enter. I was again offered to save the second Login item.
We don't prompt to save on a website if we already have a Login item saved in 1Password with the same password. So if both you and your wife use the same password for this particular website that could be the problem. The solution would be to change hers to a different password. 1Password should prompt at the Change Password screen to create a new Login item for her :chuffed:
Let me know if this helps!
Best regards,

Hi Matthew,
I have changed my wife's password and got a new prompt by 1P for my wife which I saved. The new login item works well but now my own login item does not work anymore!

Greetings @ajwoestenenk,
Can you describe what is happening please, without any specific reference to your actual username or password  When you first land on the page are both the username field and password field empty or is the site remembering the username for you? When you fill what does it fill and not fill? You may find it easier to see if you temporarily disable submit after filling.
What I'm wondering is, has the site remembered something from when your wife was logged in and that's affecting your attempt to subsequently log in. We've seen this once or twice in the past.
Another test you can try is to clear the cookies from the browser or at least for this single site or try a different browser if you have one. Do you find your Login item works under these circumstances? if it does then it would suggest the actual Login item is okay and that it's about getting the page back to a clean slate so 1Password can properly fill. The trouble here is if my suspicion is correct it only somebody with two accounts would be able to observe this and this isn't a site where I imagine we can create a test account. I only mention that because it could make diagnosis a bit tricker.

I have removed the login item of myself from 1P and also removed the cookies from both the site and 1P. When I visit the site and touch the button "mijn Digid" I find a blank page where I have to fill in both my username and password. When submitting the 1P screen comes up in which I save my new login item. After logging out I try the new 1P login item and land on the general page. To login I have to go to the "mijn Digid" button, which leads me to an empty login page.
I have not tried another browser as Safari is my only browser.

Hey @ajwoestenenk ,
It sounds like you're trying to use "Open and Fill" (where 1Password will open the tab and then fill in your details) but in your case, when you use "Open and Fill" 1Password is opening the "general" homepage rather the Login page. So in that case there is no login form so 1Password can't fill in your username & password therefore you don't get logged in. Hopefully interpreted you correctly, if not please let me know.
"Open and fill" will open the website specified in the website field of your 1Password Login item. If the Login item was created when you logged in on https://digid.nl/inloggen then you should see https://digid.nl/inloggen in the website field of the Login item. Is that what you're seeing for your Login item's website field or are you seeing something different?
Best regards,

I see https://digid.nl/inloggen, but only the digid.nl part is blue. And by using the login item I land on the "general" page.

Hi @ajwoestenenk,
What I've found is if something in a cookie isn't set then trying to visit https://digid.nl/inloggen directly will redirect you to https://www.digid.nl but this is the site doing this, not us. Can you try altering the Login item so that the website stores https://www.digid.nl/mijn-digid/ instead please. This is the URL that the login link on the main page loads and it redirects you to https://digid.nl/inloggen. The key difference seems to be that it will always correctly redirect you to https://digid.nl/inloggen regardless of the state of the cookies while storing https://digid.nl/inloggen does have the issue that it may not load the expected page depending on the cookies in the browser.

It took a bit of work to get there @ajwoestenenk but it sounds like things are working much better now  If you come across any other troublesome sites please do let us know.
