1PW on iOS 10.2 - completely unusable. 1PW crashes as soon as it opens
AS soon as the main screen in 1PW comes visible, it crashes- but displays a small dialog about sending a crash report.
I hope the report got through to tech support.
I have an 128GB iPad Air 2 (less than 1 month old, actually), and I can't even log into any websites, because I can't get to my passwords :(
This is really distressing

I actually had to use my Mac to create this post, because I just can't login without my passwords.
Can you imagine if you were away from home, only had 1 iOS device and needed to get into a critical account- but couldn't?I think the entire world needs to completely rethink online security, form the ground up.

Hi @cappy,
Sorry for the trouble.
A single point of failure is always a bad idea.
Agreed! One solution to this would be to carry two devices (e.x. a phone and a tablet, or a phone and a computer, etc). Another would be to only carry one device but also carry a copy of your 1Password.com account Emergency Kit (assuming you have a subscription account). With the latter in the case of an emergency you could login to access your data from any trusted device, even if you have no devices of your own accessible.

If you are experiencing crashes with 1Password for iOS, first please be sure you are using the latest version:
1Password 6 for iOS - iTunes App Store
If you are, and are still experiencing crashes, please send us the crash logs directly. Here are the steps you'll need to follow:
- Plug your phone into your computer and sync it with iTunes.
- Switch to the Finder, click on the Go menu and choose "Go to Folder..."
- Paste the following into the window that pops up: ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/MobileDevice/
- Select all the files that begin with 1Password and drag them to Mail in the Dock to create a new mail message.
- Send the email to
support+forum@agilebits.com
Alternatively, if you do not have a computer with iTunes available:
- Open Settings app
- Go to Privacy, then Diagnostics & Usage
- Select Diagnostics & Usage Data
- Locate the log for 1Password. The logs will be named in the format: 1Password__
- Select the desired log. Then, using the text selection UI select the entire text of the log. Once the text is selected, tap Copy
- Paste the copied text to Mail and send it to
support+forum@agilebits.com
With your email please include a link to this thread:

as well as your forum handle:cappy
When you send the message you will get an automated reply from BitBot containing a Support ID. Please post the Support ID here so we can 'connect the dots.'

If iOS doesn't tell me there is an update for 1PW, I have to assume I have the latest version.Emergency Kit
This is the first I've heard of it. I don't have a subscription though.
I've already emailed the crash log- it's been over 30 minutes still haven't gotten the confirmation email yet, and I've checked my spam folder. Will have to check in the morning.

iOS is usually pretty good about checking for updates, but it isn't infallible. You can double check that there are no updates here:
https://itunes.apple.com/app/1password/id568903335?ls=1&mt=8
Emegency Kits only come with 1Password.com accounts. If you do not have a subscription then you would not have one.
We did receive your email with the crash log. Thanks. I'll forward that on to development for their review. Sorry you never got a support ID back.

Thanks Ben.
In the meantime, I think I'll uninstall 1PW and reinstall it, since I'm going to be traveling with my iPad next week.
If I can't use my passwords, then I can't use the iPad for anything useful.
I hope AgileBits can provide a workaround.0
