    While 1Password itself doesn't depend on the network you are connected to to have encryption the pages you login to may. Most websites use SSL to protect you when you are logging in, but not all of them. If you absolutely must browse while connected to insecure networks it may be worth looking into a VPN provider.

    Agree with Ben, you’d better install vpn service for improving security level. Usually I run a vpn app while connecting to public hotspots. For this reason, I’ve subscribed for cloak. I see this app solid, simple and well-designed. I really like the feature to automatically connect to the service, that’s why I don’t worry about configuring vpn when I want to use wi-fi hotspots.
