How can i import local files to my *existing* username.1password.com account online?

I already have an 1password account online username.1password.com which i can access. But it is empty. I have local files which I want to backup online, so I can do a clean reinstall of my OS
How do i get my files online? Your instruction video only explains the procedure for creating an new account and I do not want that. Please help thx

Hi @jelletheking - Great question!

Once you have added the account to your existing 1Password app on your Mac, you can move the items over to your Personal vault by following the steps below:

Open and unlock 1Password on your Mac > Click 1Password in the menu bar, choose "Switch to Vault" and select your Primary vault from the list > Select all of the items by pressing Command-A after clicking one of the items in the list > Click Item in the menu bar, choose Share > Personal > Move.

On https://support.1password.com/migrate-1password-account/ the really nice video with the really nice lady voice this is not mentioned. Adding the link to https://support.1password.com/move-share-items/#to-move-items-in-the-apps for existing account owners might help ("if already have an account on 1password.com, e.g. username.1password.com, follow this procedure")

apparently, when your passwords are stored locally in the 'primary' vault, these passwords are not visible online...
