Is there a way to: (a) log into an application (icon) downloaded to my Apple iPhone 6 (b) store that app's log-in info into my 1password vault ?

    @gjkohn1022,

    Logging in to a native iOS application will only work if the application developer builds in support for the 1Password iOS app extension. You can find a list of 1Password-enabled apps here.

    Sadly if the application you use isn't on that list you will need to resort to copying your password from the 1Password app and then pasting it in to the native application you're using.

    Cheers,
    Andrew

  • Good afternoon @gjkohn1022! @firebeyer is right on the money here. To go the extra mile you can reach out to the app developer that doesn't support 1Password and point them at our app extension repository on GitHub: https://github.com/AgileBits/onepassword-app-extension

    Thanks. Was hoping (yes, hope is a strategy !) that the following might've been possible: (a) open an application (i.e.: Wells Fargo banking application) (b) log in (c) store log-in & IOS address of app into 1Password (d) have it work just like a url does for web based applications I've already put into the 1Password Vault.

    For applications that implement our extension that is essentially the long and short of it, yes. But because the interaction apps are allowed to have on iOS is fairly limited it is necessary for the app developer to implement our extension in order to have that happen.

    Thanks.
