Preference to auto-lock on lid closure of macbook?

I would like to have the option to be able to auto-lock 1password when my macbook lid is closed. I see no option for that.

To conserve battery, I like to have my sleep setting set low, but that means that I am constantly having to log into 1pw throughout my day since it auto locks on sleep. I work at home, and often have my macbook lid open when I step away from the computer for a bit. It is not a security risk since I'm at home. If I know I will be away from the macbook for some time, I will close the lid. If I am away from home, I would never leave the lid open and walk away from it; but I would like it to lock itself immediately once I close the lid--as it is now it does not do that.

Do you not have a way to know when the lid is closed?

  • @slobizman,

You are correct that there currently isn't an option to detect that the lid is closed. We are currently tracking this request as OPM-2745.
