  • Hi @BoxCar,

Thanks for taking the time to write in. The good news is that you can actually use 1Password in Safari. You can read about that here:

Use the 1Password extension to fill in Safari and apps on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

I hope that helps. Should you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to ask. :)

Hi, I'm aware of that. I prefer the 1P browser. It works for most of what I do even on the bank's site but on this site and a few others it struggles with new windows.

@BoxCar can I ask what it is that you prefer about 1Browser? Now that the extension is available we generally recommend that approach. 1Browser was only ever created because at the time we couldn't do what we now can with the extension. It is unlikely that we'll be making any improvements to it in the short term.

I have the specific login websites saved in 1P along with their passwords. Saving bookmarks in Safari in addition to 1P is more work than I want. If the mobile Safari 1P extension worked like the macOS Safari extension allowing ANY website to be chosen that would be fine. But unless something has changed the iOS 1P extension only allows you to use it AFTER you're at a specific website, all other passwords are not shown.

I can't navigate TO a website from the iOS 1P extension as I can in the macOS 1P extension.

  • I see. Thanks for the feedback! If you are syncing Safari via iCloud though it should auto-complete any addresses you start to type if you've visited them on your Mac. So for example if you bank with myreallycoolbank.com when you start to type myr it should pop up for you. Maybe that would help?

In any event, thanks for the feedback. :)

    P.S.

But unless something has changed the iOS 1P extension only allows you to use it AFTER you're at a specific website, all other passwords are not shown.

Yes, that is intentional, and is an anti-phishing feature. The extension won't allow you to fill a login for 1password.com on ipassword.com, for example, as the addresses look very similar but are not the same site.
