I am running the current versions of the iOS app my iPad and 1P for Mac on my Mac w/ macOS Sierra (licensed version purchased from AgileBits). I have synced from my Mac using the WLAN server in the past, but it will not work now. I have tried steps 1. thru 7. in AglieBits support list "If you are having trouble using the WLAN server".

What can I do next?

  • Hi @fourwheelcycle

Thanks for taking the time to write in.

There is a whole lot more to that troubleshooting guide than just those first 7 steps. Please take a look at the remainder of the guide:

If you're having trouble using the WLAN server

I have now tried everything, to the bottom of the guide. I have also sent Dx reports from my Mac and my iPad.

I don't see anything in the inbox from the email address you have registered here in the forums. What Support ID did you get back from BitBot when you sent the reports?

    Thanks.

    Ben,

I received your email and implemented as many of your suggestions as I could, but I was still not able to get the WLAN server to work. My iPad 1P continues to say it cannot find any computer. I sent you a response email to ask for your further helpful assistance.

  • Thanks. We'll continue the conversation via email. :)

    Ben,

In our email exchanges we worked our way through several options, including a specially created computer to computer network on my Mac and using 1P4 for Windows, which I also use, as an alternative to syncing from one of my Macs. None of these things worked and you said you were not able to offer any further advice.

As information to others who may read this post, I will report that when nothing else worked I finally tried deleting 1P for iOS on my iPad, even though I had recently updated it, and then re-installing it. As soon as it downloaded from the App Store it found the WLAN server signals from both my PC and my Mac! Since I had my PC open I used its secret code and my iPad synced perfectly.

  • Wow! Thanks for the update @fourwheelcycle. I've never heard of that as a resolution to issues when trying to sync via WLAN. Good to know that may be a possible solution.

Glad to hear you were ultimately able to get this working.

    Ben
