Request: A keyboard shortcut (cmd+shift+n?) that assumes the new item by the category I'm in
Cmd+N opening up the huge drop-down is always inefficient for me.
Scenario: I check if I have existing object by going to the category first. (Especially, if I'm not sure how I would have spelled out an item in the past) And if it doesn't exist then I often want to create it immediately.
For example, I went to check if I had a membership card already. And when I don't see it, I want to create a new membership entry. So it'd be nice to just have a keyboard shortcut to jump into that process

@phonghtran Cmd-Shift-N, in fact, does exactly what you want.

Even I didn't know that one off the top of my head. Thanks for the reminder, @vplewis. :)
I do love that the actual shortcut ended up being what you had in mind. It's an indicator that we chose right.
