Why does 1Password Mini have different login data than 1Password?

1Password data is syncing between my iMac, MacBook Pro, PowerBook, iPad Air 2 and iPhone. 1Password Mini on all of the computers fails to update a G-mail password and still reflects what I believe is a previous password. It's the same password in 1Password Mini on all the computers. I have already been to the thread that asks to see if "Always Display" is selected in 1Password Main and it already is. Don't know what else to do. This was happening in Dropbox and now after stoping sync in Dropbox and moving to iCloud, the same thing is happening.

1Password Version: 6.6.4
Extension Version: 4.6.3
OS Version: 10.12.4 & 10.11.6
Sync Type: iCloud

    Hi @Lionheart,

I'm sorry for the delay in getting back to you about this!

To help us figure out what's going on with that Login item, can you please let us know some more details:

    • Did you change that Gmail password on one of your Macs or one of your iOS devices?
    • What exact steps did you take to change that password?
    • On each Mac, does the main 1Password app show the new password or the old one?
    • On each Mac, do you by any chance have multiple 1Password apps in the Applications folder?
    • On your iPad and iPhone, does 1Password show the new password or the old one?
    • If you make other changes in the main 1Password app on a Mac, do those changes appear in mini? And do those changes sync to your other Macs and iOS devices?
    • What exact version of 1Password is installed on each iOS device?

    Thanks in advance! :)

I am having the same problem.

I can edit a login in 1PW Mac 6.6.4 (website) and it syncs to my other macs and phones.

But it does not show up in 1PW mini in Safari or Chrome -- on the same machine where I edited it.

I removed and reinstalled Mini, restarted browsers, used the Troubleshooting / Restart Mini option, quit and restarted main app. None fix the problem.

    Hi @Chris100,

If a Login item appears in the main 1Password app but seems to be completely missing from 1Password mini, that sounds like a different problem: That specific Login item might be set to "Never display in browser". In the main 1Password app, click the Edit button for that item and check the 'display' option near the bottom of the item details. If that's set to Never display in browser, change it to Always and click Save. Now it should appear in 1Password mini & the browser extension.

Please let us know how it goes, and if it's still a problem, we'll continue from there. Thanks!

@Drew-AG, you are right, that fixed it. Sorry to have hijacked @lionheart's thread, I thought it sounded the same!

No problem at all, @Chris100! Indeed, the two different problems sound similar to each other. I'm glad I was able to help you with that! :)
