Adding the ability to show the master password

I wanted to bump this old thread but it appears to be locked because of its age:

Has there been any more thought as to adding this? Two years ago @dteare had commented that he had opened as issue for it so that it could be tracked. Besides being helpful for day to day usage it could also be helpful for debugging issues in that people could be 100% certain that they're entering the password that they think should work.

Overall I'm still a happy 1Password user but this issue still causes frustration.

@SpikeGuy: It's something we can consider in the future, but as Dave mentioned previously we're using a Secure Input field (standard for passwords on macOS, so they're protected from other apps) and it's complex and potentially risky to change that, since we don't want to take any chances with your most important data — or ours. Certainly it would be a non-trivial change and require a lot of care and testing. Thanks for letting us know how important that feature would be to you!
