How to stop receiving forum notifications

    Sorry for getting off topic, but is there anyway to remove yourself from a thread so I don't receive notifications anymore? I don't see the option.

    @netnothing: I hope you don't mind, but I'm splitting off this comment into its own discussion since I'm sure others can benefit from having this same question answered as well. Ironic, I know. ;)

    While it isn't possible to turn off notifications for individual discussions, you can avoid getting them just because there's a new comment in a discussion you've participated in at some point:

    1. Go to your forum user profile at the top
    2. Click the "person" icon on the right and select "Edit Profile"
    3. Click "Notification Preferences" on the left
    4. Disable "Notify me when people comment on discussions I've participated in."

    That way you can still get notifications when people @ -mention you in particular, or when there are comments in discussions you've started yourself. Or you can tweak the other options to suit your taste. Cheers! :)
