Quite a few websites use our email addresses as our usernames. But when we create a new entry in 1Password it doesn't use that email address as the username. I can kind of understand why, but it's annoying nonetheless.

How about this for an idea. If there is no username to record that 1Password expects, can it please prompt us by asking if the email address is the username? We answer "yes" and voilà! The email address is made the username.

Could that work in more than theory?

    Hey @leicaman,

Thanks for writing in and thanks for your suggestion! It sounds like you're creating the Logins in 1Password manually (File > New Item > Login) rather than using the 1Password browser extension - would that be right? If so, I'm wondering if you know about 1Password's Autosave feature? It allows 1Password to save new Login items for you.

Let me know in any case.

    Matthew
