On the lock screen it asks for my master password and the fingerprint ID icon is not present. Additionally, it is not recognizing my master password. I am on iOS 10.3.1

  • Hi @jjw30127

Thanks for taking the time to write in.

Touch ID is not a replacement for your Master Password. The Master Password is still what is required to decrypt your data. Please check out this guide:

If you forgot your Master Password or you can't unlock 1Password

Failing that -- do you have access to your 1Password data on any other devices?

I did not forget my master password and yes I have access on my iPad.

  • Great. The first thing I'd recommend then is making a backup of 1Password on your iPad:

    1Password backups

    Then I'd recommend:

    1. Uninstalling 1Password from your iPhone
    2. Turning off iCloud sync on the iPad: 1Password > Settings > Sync > iCloud > Disable Sync
    3. Deleting the 1Password data from iCloud using the iPad: 1Password > Settings > Advanced. Scroll down and tap Erase iCloud Data.
    4. Re-enable iCloud sync on the iPad: https://support.1password.com/sync-with-icloud/
    5. Reinstall 1Password on the iPhone and sync it with iCloud

Please let me know how it turns out.

    Ben
