    Hello again!

Please feel free to move this question to another section if necessary.

I'm in the process of renewing all of my logins and eliminating those I no longer use. I notice that the logins of some sites have their own specific icon, others only have the 1P default icon. Why is this? This evening I did, among others, TripAdvisor, Tripexpert and Tumblr, all three big sites, and none of them is showing its own icon.

    Hi @AnCatMara,

Since your question is about a different feature than the one in your previous discussion, I've moved your message to a new thread in our Mac forum. I hope you don't mind!

The "rich icons" feature in 1Password doesn't download the icons directly from each website - instead, we add icons to our own image server, and the 1Password app downloads the icons from there. We've added icons for many websites, but it's a manual process on our side at the moment, so you'll occasionally run into sites that don't currently have a rich icon in 1Password. When that happens, the Login item will show the generic keyhole icon. We're hoping to make this an automatic process at some point, so adding icons for websites will be easier and faster.

Having said that, I tested each site you mentioned, and we have rich icons for TripAdvisor and Tumblr, so I don't know why they aren't showing up for you. How did you create those Login items - directly in the main 1Password app or via the browser extension? Also, what are the exact website addresses in your Login items for TripAdvisor and Tumblr?

    Hi!

Thanks for your quick and informative reply.

When I purchased 1P last summer, I imported my logins from another app and they arrived in 1P in the form "TripAdvisor::::abcdefgh;;cat.mara@yyyyy.com. I then edited the entry putting the user name, the password, etc., in the appropriate boxes.

Now I am in the process of weeding out the logins I no longer use and changing the passwords and user names of the others to make my logins more secure. Sometimes rich icons appear, sometimes not.

    For Tripadvisor: https://fr.tripadvisor.be
    For Tripexpert: https://www.tripexpert.com/?
    For Tumblr: tumblr.com

I am posting an additional comment / question on signing-in in my original post relating to which website addresses I should use.

Thanks again for your rapid reply!

    Thanks, @AnCatMara!

    For Tripadvisor: https://fr.tripadvisor.be

Ah, it looks like the icon in our image server shows up for www.tripadvisor.com but not for the French version. Sorry about that!

    For Tripexpert: https://www.tripexpert.com/

That's the same address I tested, and unfortunately it doesn't look like we have that icon in our server yet.

    For Tumblr: tumblr.com

Try editing that Login item and change it to this: https://www.tumblr.com/

When you save the change, does the rich icon appear?

Thank you! Yes, when I edit the login item for Tumblr the rich icon appeared.
