Is there a free version for Mac? Slightly confused...

I have 1password on my iPhone 6 which is free, I got it yesterday for my Mac but there seems to be a 30 day trial. I'm really confused because there's a version on the App Store, and the one off the website which I got. How do I know which one is the free version.

@georgyboy: While we do offer a trial version, 1Password is not free; this is all we do, and we don't accept ads, sell user data, or take money from investors.
