How to send a PDF file to my Private vault Documents folder?

Please tell me how to get a file from my MAC to my Documents folder in my Private Vault (or personal vault). I have moved/copied PDF files in the past and I have completely forgotten how to do it. I cannot find the answer in the forums nor in any user guide.

Thank you,
Steven

  • Hi @RSSmith,

You should be able to do it in two ways:

    1. Select the Private or Personal vault in the vault picker in the upper left hand of the window
    2. Use the File > New Item > Document menu item.
    3. Choose the PDF file you'd like to add to your vault
    4. The Document item will now be shown in the detail view in edit mode. You can rename the title of it if you wish.
    5. Click the Save button.

Alternatively, you can simply drag a file from Finder to 1Password and it should do steps 1-3 for you.

    I hope this helps.

    Rick,
I will try what you said. But I wanted to thank you now for your reply.
