Can NOT add anything

MacBook Air 10.12.5
1Password 6 Version 6.7.1 (671001) Purchased from AgileBits directly, not Apple Store
Do NOT have any family, business nor .com account - just the single install on my MacBook Air and the app on my iPhone 10.3.2

Downloaded and installed.

Two major issues.

First - I can NOT add anything

Nothing shows up in

All Items
Favorites

When I try to ADD anything - credit card, social security, driver's license - anything - when I hit SAVE

I get the pop up message

The Operation Could not be completed.
No other information is available about the problem.

Not very helpful

Second issue - I sync with iCloud but it never shows up as synced -

Any suggestions?
