Filled in wrong master password once, now Touch ID doesn't appear.
Hi, I've used my Touch ID to open my 1Password app on iPhone almost since the beginning. Stupidly (stupidly, stupidly), I wanted to test if I still remembered the master password. So I typed it in and got it wrong (only once), thinking I could use my Touch ID to get back in if I didn't. However, immediately the option to use Touch ID disappeared from the app. Is there any way to retrieve that option?
Would it work to remove and re-install the app on my phone?
Thank you!
Best,
Susan
P.S.: yes, I'm an idiot. Sorry.

Hi Susan,
Sorry to hear you've forgotten your Master Password. Unfortunately there is no way to reset it, as all of your 1Password data is encrypted using it. The only way to decrypt the data is by entering the correct password. Likewise there is no way to re-enable Touch ID without entering the correct password.
Re-installing the app would reset 1Password completely -- you'd be starting fresh. If you have given up on remembering your Master Password that would be your only option, but is a last resort.
Ben
