Trying to install the browser plugin into Safari Technology Release 32 crashes the browser completely.

    I have this issue while trying to install any external extensions (*.safariextz files) into Safari Technology Release 32 — not just 1Password.

    No such issue when installing anything from the Safari Extensions Gallery, so I installed 1Password from there to keep me going. YMMV

    Hey @BadHorse,

    Thanks for reporting this! I have reproduced this and thank you @MartyS for confirming you also see this. As far as we can tell at the moment this is a bug in Safari Technology Preview and have contacted Apple regarding this.

    For now as Marty has suggested, the workaround is to install the Safari extension from the Safari Extension Gallery instead.
