1Password > Settings > Advanced > Create Backup

  1. Are this files for iTunes file sharing secured? I think not, why?

Why is the folder not secured with the password lock? Fix this.

  1. Why is the folder so a big size? Why not created the compression version?

  • Hi @wenyglatz,

    1Password backups created through iTunes File Sharing are encrypted and can only be unlocked by your Master Password. They can be large because by its nature, encryption rarely leaves a file compressible by much.

    Hope that helps!

    No the size is too big. This is not the compression version.

    If sync 1password via dropbox, then you see in dropbox path, the small size version. More than 50% smaller

    Fix this

    @wenyglatz,

    My point was that compressing something that is encrypted doesn't make much (if any) difference. It is strange though that you're seeing much smaller file sizes in Dropbox than you are in iTunes File Sharing. The 1Password data in Dropbox isn't compressed either. Do you perhaps have multiple vaults?
