WLAN sync doesn't seem to sync automatically between iOS and Mac

Correct me if I'm wrong, but WLAN sync is supposed to happen automatically, correct? If I make a change to my 1P database, how long should I expect before that change is synced to the other device, assuming they're on the same network? Right now, I'm not seeing changes synced at all--I have to manually open the sync pane under preferences and click sync.

1Password Version: 6.7.1

OS Version: 10.12.5

    Hi @hotpancakes,

    To sync via the WLAN server 1Password for iOS must be open and unlocked. The sync cannot happen in the background.
