Entering License Key data

Hello Team

Could someone please enlighten me as to how the software license key fields are to be populated in 1PW 6 ??
Dragging the app icon will just give the app name and version ? Everything else has to be done manually?
Most keys arrive in an email, how can they be saved in Documents 1PW 6 ? Is the process documented anywhere?
Thank you for taking it on.

  • @NK77,

Your statements all sound correct to me, you drag an application into the 1Password window and a new software license entry gets created with the app's icon, name and version. You then type in or attach license information to that entry and hit save.

Good morning rudy (Sydney Oz EST)

    Thank you for the reply.

That clears up that most of the fields have to be filled manually.

However could you please explain to the innocent 1PW user as to how a License key that arrives in the body of an email, say Apple Mail,
can be imported in to the secure document folder in 1PW?

    Kind regards

  • @NK77,

You'd need to copy & paste the license key from the email into the license key field in a Software item in 1Password. :)
