kCFErrorDomainCFNetwork error 311 on MacOS app.

I'm trying to use 1password app on the company's laptop.
I'm connected to the internet via proxy.

SingIn action always responds me with [kCFErrorDomainCFNetwork error 311]

Proxy is configured to bypass requests to localhost, though.
WebApp works fine.

Thanks in advance!

  • @anydef,

    You're right to think that its related to the proxy.

    It looks like 311 translates to: The HTTPS proxy returned an unexpected status code, such as a 3xx redirect.

    You're seeing this in 1Password.app itself?

    @rudy hi, yes, the modal window is open within 1Password.app

  • @anydef,

    What happens if you attempt to sign-in on a different network? does 1Password succeed and continue to work?

    The error message in question appears to be telling us that your HTTP proxy is attempting many redirects on its way to trying to sign you into your account.

    @rudy ,
    On that same machine I get an error only if I have proxy enabled. With enabled proxy switching networks doesn't help
    Still I can access web interface on that same machine with proxy enabled.

  • @anydef Thanks for letting us know. It sounds like the proxy isn't configured properly. We aren't able to troubleshoot the specifics, so I'd recommend speaking with your IT department about this. Hope that helps!
